To provide an atmosphere for people to connect with God through serving together, as members of one body, each using their unique God-given gifts.
Why Do These Ministries Exist?
These ministries are the support base for almost all church activities, including the Sunday service and major church events. They give everyone an opportunity to get involved. The Support Ministries make it possible for us to demonstrate our love for people from welcoming them at the front door to caring for them when they are dealing with a crisis.
Doorkeepers
The greeters are the front-line to people entering our church; they need to be cheerful and welcoming toward everyone. It is their job to hand out the Sunday bulletin to everyone that enters the doors. The ushers have the honor of taking up the collection by passing the basket down each row. There is an occasional meeting for the entire team and a monthly schedule for Sundays and midweek service (if needed). Most volunteers serve one Sunday per month.

Office Support
Individuals on this team are called upon to assist in the front office. They answer phones during staff meetings and help with other office related projects on an as-needed basis. Office support volunteers are called on an "as needed basis."
Volunteers duplicate the Sunday message onto tapes & CD and take and fill orders in the Information Center each Sunday on a rotation basis. As well as maintain the media library. Additional volunteers are needed to assist with the one Sunday per month, both in the tape room and in the Information Center.
Hospitality Ministry volunteers assist on Sunday morning prior to the service, by preparing coffee, hot chocolate and/or other beverages and by serving these beverages in the main church lobby. This ministry facilitates a welcoming atmosphere to our church attendees and especially to visitors.
Volunteers assist with making meals for church members when there is a death, are shut-in, ill, or new moms. They are called upon on an "as needed basis".
Volunteers are stationed in the center, for a period of time following the service, in order to provide answers and information to visitors and regular attendees to our church and to assist the resource ministry. Coverage in the Information Center is needed every Sunday after the service; volunteers are needed to serve one Sunday per month.
People are often needed to help with large church events by decorating and setting up (tables, chairs, etc.), tearing down and cleaning up. Volunteers are needed to promote events in creative ways. They are called upon when an event is approaching.
This team is called upon a few times per year to help with landscaping and Fall/Spring Cleanup when a church workday is scheduled. Other areas of service would include occasional construction or bldg. maintenance projects. Skilled workers are often needed and we welcome any volunteer services that can be provided in the area of plumbing, handy-man projects, and more. Maintenance support volunteers will be called when needed.
