The only thing that counts is faith
express- ing itself through love.
Galatians 5:6b (NIV)
Thursday, 13 May 2010

It looks like God is finally getting through to me on some things. It has taken some time for me to wake up. I asked a friend who does consulting work to come for a couple of days and work with me concerning my life and ministry. It seems that I got more than I bargained for. It was amazing how much he could read in me. I was wanting answers and he was pointing to my lack of energy and depleted physical condition. The message was that, until I address that, I will have a hard time addressing the issues around me. Well, he did have some helpful observations about ministry that I intend to act on, and he handed me a bag full of vitamins. Lord knows I have not been a huge fan of GNC but I'm not against it. I guess now we will see.

He talked to me about considering the lingering effects of my Russia experience and how to respond. Goodness, if he is right it is time to respond. People need hope and they come to church to find it. That needs to be the focus. I'm encouraged. I think God is bringing about some change personally and corporately. I hate to admit it but I feel pretty good right now, come to think of it. I hope to see you Sunday.

You just might enjoy it.

I have been through allot that should of shaken my faith growing up in an alcoholic house hold but I used the bible to raise me and I find their is a purpose for all we go through even if we don't realize where we need it. God will show you when you are meant to use what you went through to teach his word or give compassion. But if I am right it was more than that. They needed Christ where you were also. I pray for you often because I know things you went through and saw just don't go away without help from the Lord. Our family loves you and appreciates you.
