Happy New Year everyone! I feel better already. God didn't take long to start adjusting me. As I was preparing for my annual Banner Mission Sunday to launch the New Year, I felt that familiar tug on my heart. The Lord gently informed me that what I was preparing was not what His people needed. It was obvious what God was after. People needed to get healthy. The strain of 2009 has taken its toll and now is the time to reconnect with God at a much deeper level than ever before. So now is the time to seek the Lord fervently. He promises to have compassion if we seek Him with all our heart. Last Sunday I asked for a voluntary fast of whatever is holding you back. Plus I asked you to add something beneficial to your life. I've heard some pretty good ideas so far. (Let me hear about yours)

I also let the cat out of the bag as to the coming call to solicit host homes for the purpose of prayer starting the week of January 17. Will you volunteer an hour a week for the next four weeks and ask your friends if they will join you? God is certainly stirring hearts, so who knows what God will do when we come together. This could be the turning point for many of us. We will explain this more Sunday. Come let us seek the Lord together. Already we are seeing breakthroughs in people's lives. I'm excited!
