Fall is in the air. Not only is Fall in the air, but change is in the air. There is so much coming and going. So many people are experiencing change right now; some expected and some unexpected. It is change that requires faith or should I say the unexpected change? Faith is being tested on a mass scale to the extent that we must pause and ask “What is God doing?” Why is all this happening on such a broad scale? Obviously God is preparing us for something very important. The most important thing is to remain engaged in the process and not check out and disengage. Then we suffer loss.
God loves us and whatever He is doing it is for our benefit. He is good and He cares for us. This is a season, and rough seasons seem to last forever, but they don’t. The temptation is to say, “I’ve never been happy” but the truth is we have been happy most of the time but at the moment we are troubled. This moment will not last. Now is the time to exercise our faith in God and allow Him to work in our lives as never before. He promises that our future has great promise. His plans are for our good. Let’s keep our eyes on the Lord and look for the great things He is doing in us right now in the midst of difficulty. That is when He does His greatest and most enduring work.
