David and Emma Bredeman
Lima, Peru

David and Emma have been working with indigenous tribes in the Amazon Jungle for several years. Recently, they have begun to minister to the needs and care of pastors and leaders throughout Peru. They are now in the position of directing a national network of churches and ministries through a new ministry called Destino (Destiny).

The Lopez Family

Peru

We moved to Peru with the desire to reach the unreached with the Message of the Gospel of the Kingdom. The first year and a half we teamed up with David Bredeman and together developed a Missions Training Course to provide Peruvians with the skills and training to reach their own people for Christ. Later we were asked by the senior pastor to help with a Wheelchair Ministry. We were reluctant at first but sensed that we were supposed to do it.

When Free Wheelchair Mission donated the first 550 wheelchairs, over 7000 disabled showed up to receive one. At that point we realized that the need was tremendous. So over the next 3 years we helped distribute over 40,000 wheelchairs to the physically disabled poor throughout all of Peru.  Since then we have helped various Christian organizations in community development and have prayed about and considered many other possibilities; including moving into the Amazon jungle and helping our good friends Willie and Paulette.

After much prayer and investigation we realized that the Lord was gently closing each door we were trying to open. So we will be coming back to the States in March for a 3 - 6 month furlough to regroup and see what the Lord's next steps for us will be whether He has us return to Peru or remain in South Carolina. We desire to be where He wants us to be and we know that there is no better place on earth to be than that.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support over the years. We will email updates to the CCC Website after this furlough. We really look forward to seeing and hopefully spending time together.

Nicaragua
November 2007

A team of ten adults traveled to Managua, Nicaragua November 12-19, 2007 to work primarily with House of Hope Ministry, an evangelistic outreach program to the prositutes there.  The men did construction projects. The women helped with the residents at House of Hope, as well as, the weekly support group that has grown to more than 80 women each week. The weekly group has ministry/prayer time and a cottage industry of making greeting cards to sell to supplement the income that the women have from other small jobs. To read more about the ministry, the card making cottage industry or purchase some cards, visit their website: House of Hope Nicaragua
